Salisbury is Uriah Heep’s ambitious second studio album and a cornerstone of early 1970s progressive hard rock. Expanding beyond straight heavy rock, the band incorporated orchestration (notably on the 16-minute title track), Hammond organ textures, and layered harmonies that would become their trademark.
