A strong  compilation highlighting vibraphonist Freddie McCoy at his most soulful and groove-driven. This release compiles some of McCoy’s most recognisable cuts including the sought-after “Beans ’N Greens,” “Peas ’N Rice,” and his version of “Spider Man.”

This is accessible, funky late-60s/early-70s soul-jazz with tight rhythm sections, catchy themes and that crisp, percussive vibraphone tone that makes McCoy’s records attractive to both jazz collectors and groove/digging buyers. A very playable, DJ-friendly selection with crossover appeal.
