Released in 1975, Silver Convention is the debut album from the German disco group Silver Convention, one of the defining acts of the mid-1970s European disco explosion. Produced by Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay, the album combines infectious dance grooves, orchestral arrangements and polished studio production that helped establish disco as a global phenomenon.
The album’s biggest success was the international hit “Fly, Robin, Fly,” which reached No. 1 in the United States and became one of the signature disco recordings of the decade. Alongside dancefloor favourites such as “Save Me” and “I Like It,” the album captures the sleek, sophisticated sound that made Silver Convention one of disco’s most successful acts.
A highly enjoyable record for collectors of classic disco, Euro-disco and 1970s dance music.
